Common inorganic salt feed

Shell powder, limestone, and eggshell powder are all major sources of calcium. Shell powder is the best inorganic salt feed, containing more calcium, and easy for pheasant absorption. The best amount of shell powder in the diet is a bit of chunky. Limestone has a high calcium content and is inexpensive, but it must be noted that the magnesium content must not be too high. The eggshell must be crushed and then used after being sterilized.
Bone meal and calcium phosphate are excellent calcium phosphate feeds. Bone meal has different quality due to different methods of preparation. Generally, steamed bone meal is of better quality. Calcium phosphate or other phosphates can also be used as a source of phosphorus. Phosphorus ore has high fluorine content and should be defluorinated. According to experiments, the hatching rate was low when the fluorine content was 648 mg per kilogram, and the chicks had poor growth. When the amount of fluorine does not exceed 400 mg per kilogram, brood feed can be used. Some colloidal phosphates contain up to 1.25% fluorine, and some phosphate ores contain high amounts of thorium and should not be used. The amount of bone meal and calcium phosphate may account for 1%-1.5%.
Salt is a source of sodium and chlorine. The amount of youngsters used was 0.25%-0.3% of concentrates, and 0.3%-0.4%. When salted fishmeal is fed, salt may not be added, and the salt content must be ascertained so as to avoid increasing the amount of salt and increasing the amount of drinking water. Excessive excrement will result in serious salt poisoning. The salt is the best iodized salt, no additional iodine.
Grit contributes to the grinding power of the chicken's stomach. When there is a lack of grits in the diet, the chicks must eat grass or feathers, and physical damage may occur in the intestines.
